Please find below the list of requirements:
  1. Passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of intended arrival in Brazil.

  2. One application form to be completed and signed by the holder of the passport. (Parents should fill out and sign applications for their own children who are minors.)

  3. One passport size photograph (5cm by 4cm) in colour or black or white,front view. Please, NO SNAP SHOTS.

  4. Please do not apply for a visa earlier than one month before your planned departure date.

  5. An issued return ticket or statement from a Travel Agency, addressed to the Embassy, containing the name of the passenger, confirmed booking in and out of Brazil. Visas will not be issued on an open ticket.

  6. Proof that applicant has sufficient means to support himself or herself during hisor her stay in Brazil (e.g Valid international credit card or bank statement.)

  7. A letter (on a letterhead), from employer, confirming employment or educational institute confirming enrolment.

  8. For minors under 18 years of age travelling alone, present a notarized letter signed by both parents, authorising this Embassy to issue a visa. If the minor is travelling with only one parent, the other parent must present to the Embassy, a notarized authorization for the issuance of a visa for the travelling minor.

  9. A vaccination against Polio is required for children between the ages of three months and six years old. If the child cannot be innoculated, a notarized letter from the child`s physician will be required .

  10. A certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever is necessary.

  11. Consular fee: Z$60 000 000.00. Absence fee; Z$12 000 000.00 if application is not presented in person by the holder of the passport.

  12. Processing time is a minimum of FOUR working days.

  13. Consular Officers will only receive applications from applicants who comply with the aforementioned requirements. Furthermore , the aforementioned requirements should not in any way be considered all inclusive. The Embassy reserves the right to apply additional requirements when necessary.

  14. Prior to depositing the consular fees, the applicant should first seek approval from the Consular Section.

  15. Once approved, the applicant should then deposit the consular fees into the Embassy bank account,A/C No.01400653098-01,at Stanbic Bank ,Minerva Branch Ground Floor SSC Building,Cnr Sam Nujoma St/Julius Nyerere Way,Harare.Please bring bank proof of cash deposit.

    Telegraphic Transfers, Cheques and Traveller`s Cheques will not be accepted

  16. The Embassy will not process visas for applicants who do not reside in its jurisdiction,Zimbabwe, Malawi.

  17. Tourists must enter Brazil within 90 days of issuance of visa. Initially the Tourist Visa is valid for a 90 day stay. Applicants who wish to stay in Brazil for an additional 90 days, should request for an extension at the local Brazilian Police Department(Delegacia de Estrangeiros). Tourist visa allows a maximum stay of 180 days per calender year in Brazil. Bearers of Tourist Visa ,should not engage in gainfull employment.

NOTE:It is the responsibility of the applicant to make certain that the application is lodged accordingly. Any incorrect or misleading information given may result in the refusal of requested visa or its cancellation at any stage.
