The requirements are as follows:
- A passport valid for a minimum of six months from the date of intended arrival in Brazil.
- Two visa application forms provided by the Consular Department, typed or printed, dated and signed by the holder of the passport.
- Two passport size photographs, (5cm by 4cm) in colour or black and white, front view, Please NO SNAP SHOTS.
- A copy of the enrolment document at a Brazilian educational institution or of a letter conferring the applicant a grant to study in Brazil. Please indicate the length of the intended stay in Brazil and present a document stating the amount of the grant where applicable, or the amount which will be transferred to Brazil during the stay of the applicant in the country.
- A notarized letter proving that the applicant's parents have the sufficient means to support him orher during the school year in Brazil.
- Applicants under 18 years of age are required to present a notarized letter from both parents authorizing the Embassy to issue the applicant the appropriate visa.
- Applicants over the age of 18 years must present a NO criminal Record (Validity 90 days) to be obtained from their local police department. The No Criminal Record must be authenticated at the Embassy at a fee of Z$60 000 000.00.
- Proof of residence in the jurisdiction of this Embassy-Zimbabwe ,Zambia and Malawi must be produced.
- An issued return ticket or a confirmed travel itinerary.
- A Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever.
- Consular fee: Z$120 000 000.00. There is an additional fee of Z$30 000 000.00 if the application is not presented in person by the holder of the passport.
** Consular fees are subject to change without notice.**
- Prior to depositing the consular fees , the applicants should first seek approval from the Consular Section.
- Once approved, the applicant should then deposit the consular fees into the Embassy bank account, account number 01400653098-01,at Stanbic Bank,Minerva Branch,Ground Floor SSC Building,Cnr 3rd St /Julius Nyerere Way, Harare. Please Bring bank proof of the cash deposit.
Telegraphic Transfers, Cheques and Travellers Cheques will not be accepted
- The Embassy requires at least 3 working days to process the visa. Please do not apply for the visa earlier than one month before your planned departure.
PLEASE NOTE:
a) Bearers must enter Brazil no later than 90 days from the issuance of the visa.
b) Upon arrival in Brazil ,bearers of a Student Visa whose stay exceed 90 days
c) Bearer must register with the Brazilian Police Department
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the applicant to make certain the application is lodged accordingly. Any incorrect or misleading information given may result in the refusal of the requested visa or its cancellation at any stage.
